Downtown and city culture closeby to walkthrough n try local cuisines, the staffs were very courteous and co-operative.

It is very central and a very nice hotel which is very clean and we rate as very important

I cant say anything negative here about the actual hotel as there was nothing we didnt like but we did find that on check out the gentleman we dealt with on this particular day was a little abrupt with us and we were surprised by this as all our previous stays and check outs were wonderful hence we always go back and we still will maybe he was having a bad day which can happen

Pleasant hotel- good value - breakfast ok.

Location very good, rooms comfortable, Booking.com didn't include 2 guests and not one so had to pay for breakfast at the desk for 2nd guest- this happens a lot with this website- and is very annoying. Not Mercure's problem to be honest. Staff friendly.

Breakfast is ok- scrambled eggs were dry- but could cook fresh eggs- boil or fry. Also bacon was not great- very fatty and sausages ok- - nice buffet of other items-breads pastries and pancakes etc....

Nice hotel in ideal location: between train station and old town. Very tasty breakfasts. Kind and helpful staff. Rooms well equipped and furnished in classic way.

Bathrooms could be modernized and more elegant - not they seem like a plastic containers.

Brilliant value for money far better than we were expecting.

The hotel is in an excellent location with on site safe underground parking. It was easy to find. The staff were super helpful. We had a quiet comfortable night sleep in a clean room. We didn't have breakfast but the facilities looked adequate.

A place to remember if I go back to Rennes.

Wonderful staff, clean rooms, brilliant location next to the city center. Extensive breakfast buffet.

The croissants for breakfast didn't meet the expectations of the French bakery skills. Though there was a lot else to choose.

Excellent location. 10-12’ minutes walking distance from the central train station and 7-8’ from the city centre. Very polite and helpful staff.

Central to centre which was great friendly staff clean hotel very nice area great car park attached to the hotel being in the centre so this was very beneficial as it may have been otherwise difficult to get parking thankfully we did not have to worry about that

I liked most things but i would have liked more english speaking channels on the tv as we were kinda stuck with a news channel all the time plus it was very disappointing the wifi went down on sat morning and did not return before we left on sunday i understand this was a problem for you but it did impact on us unfortunately

A well appointed comfortable location and perfect for exploring Rennes old town.

The location was excellent, Value for money with good sized rooms. Attentive well informed staff. Great facilities. Comfortable beds. Parking on site real added bonus.

Single breakfast cost of nineteen (€19.00) euro per person was far to expensive when surrounded by local cafe and bars charging eight €8.00 euro for the same menu When booking rooms the hotel should provide more details of the one way vehicle access system! (confusing due to directional signs) prohibitive except for hotel access? The bedroom was as expected with the exception of the two single low quality pillows. We had to request additional pillows through reception, a minimum of two per customer stored in the room if required would help.

Great city for pedestrians. we ate at an unpreposing restaurant Saturday evening, food very good

most. Room fair sized; bed v, comfortable; breakfast, actually good, plenty of variety

Can't be improved by Mercure, but the underground parking is VERY tight if you have a big car. Again, not the fault of the hotel but Rennes itself is not at all car friendly; too many routes barres and 1 way streets that lead nowhere. And on Sunday streets closed off for markets - not so good if you are trying to exit the city.

While it maintains cleanliness, the rooms appear outdated, with walls and bathrooms showing signs of wear and inadequately maintained cleanliness standards. Moreover, the absence of an on-site restaurant for lunch or dinner is a limitation, as guests are only offered breakfast, which doesn't quite meet the standards of a typical four-star experience, especially in cities like Paris or other major capitals. The limited variety of fruits, occasionally even lacking basics like bananas, is disappointing. The towels also emit an aging odor, suggesting prolonged use, and amenities like irons and slippers are absent in the rooms, although they can be requested. Overall, it's a decent hotel, but it doesn't quite measure up to a four-star rating; it might align more closely with the standards of a two-star hotel in cities like Paris, Berlin, or New York.

Very Good

The main strength of the hotel is the location - quite central, so you can reach any sights on foot. Our room faced the inner courtyard garden, which features a fountain - quite pleasant to listen to. The beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast was quite good, but pricey.

Our room, though called deluxe, was quite small. Since the sofa was open, we could clearly see the floor underneath hadn't been cleaned in months, there was dust and objects lying around - in stark contrast to the rest of the room.
